One address, answered on business days
Fieldnote Press operates by email only. There is no telephone line, no live chat and no physical counter.
What to include in a message
A message that includes the following is usually resolved in one reply rather than three.
- The email address used at the point of purchase, if the message concerns an order. It is often not the address the message is sent from.
- The order or transaction reference from the payment receipt.
- For a correction request, the title of the note, the sentence in question, and the source that contradicts it.
- For a data request under privacy law, the nature of the request — access, correction, erasure, portability or objection.
Common requests
- AccessMaterial purchased but not received. Checking the spam folder first resolves most of these; if it does not, the transaction reference allows the record to be found and access re-sent.
- RefundHandled under the published refund policy. The order reference and the purchase email address are enough.
- BillingQueries about a charge on a statement. Where payment was taken by a third-party retailer, that retailer's records are the authoritative ones and the message may be redirected there.
- DataAccess, correction, erasure, portability and objection requests under the LGPD and the GDPR. Handled under the privacy policy.
- CorrectionFactual errors in a published note. See the correction policy on the about page.
- PermissionsRequests to quote or republish. Short quotations with attribution and a link need no permission.
